<p>From Kentland to Covington and from Lafayette to State Line City, District 13 includes many towns such as Fowler, Wingate, Otterbein, Attica, Remington, Veedersburg, and Williamsport. It includes southern and northern Tippecanoe County, all of Benton and Warren counties, and portions of Fountain, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton and White counties.</p>

<p><strong>So many Hoosiers don't have a voice in the Statehouse, and it's not their fault. </strong>The Democratic Party has abandoned rural Indiana allowing Republicans to have free reign. It's time for a grassroots effort by working class Hoosiers who are tired of the two-party system and are ready to start building <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>something else.</strong></span></p>

Senator Todd Young <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);">chose not</strong></span> to send aid into Gaza, condemning thousands to death by starvation.</p><p><span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);">IT MUST STOP.</strong></span></p>

<h2>End the Genocide of Palestine</h2>

<p>They are growing faster than <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong>planetary limits</strong></span>, creating physical harm to local residents due to noise, pollution, hoarding water and power, increasing electricity rates, all while <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong>shifting more wealth</strong></span> to the billionaire class. We don't need more AI slop, we need healthcare, education, thriving wages, public transportation...</p>

<h2>AI Data Centers</h2>

<p>Indiana's Christian Nationalists have been on a crusade against LGBTQ+ people, particularly our gender-diverse neighbors, family, and friends. This helps no one and only harms. <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>Protect, not oppress.</strong></span></p>

<h2>LGBTQ+ rights</h2>

<p>Indiana's prisons are <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong>hellish nightmares</strong></span>. Many of those incarcerated should be <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong>set free</strong></span> and real systems of reform such as restorative justice need to be developed and implemented. 20% of Indiana's 27,000 prison population are in for drug charges - shameful!</p>

<h2>Close prisons</h2>

<p><span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong>Abolish ICE. </strong></span>Do not cooperate with these federal thugs with state resources. Prosecute all of them that break state law. Protect, value, and celebrate immigrants. Welcome refugees.</p>

<h2>Immigration</h2>

<p>Police should be <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)">more </strong></span>accountable to their actions than the general public due to the power they have, <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)">not less</strong></span>. They shouldn't be able to get away with murder.</p>

<h2>End qualified immunity</h2>

<p>Every human deserves health care. Many countries <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>already have this.</strong></span> It's embarrassing that we don't. Let's fix it.</p>

They either believe they can legislate their concept of morality or they simply want control. Each situation is unique and can only be decided by the pregnant person and their doctor.</p>

<h2>Pregnant people's right to choose</h2>

<p>From <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>policing </strong></span>thought, peaceful protests, and minority existence, to <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>criminalizing </strong></span>drug use, existing in public spaces, and failing the Game of Capitalism, government needs to <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>stop causing needless harm</strong></span>.</p>

<h2>End government oppression</h2>

<p>We must build out renewables and retire fossil coal and gas plants <strong>as quickly as possible</strong> to avoid the most harmful impacts of climate change. Benton County is a model to follow!</p>

<h2>Green New Deal</h2>

<p>Teachers should make <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>double</strong></span> what they do. Start at $48k and average $60k? That's insulting. Private and charter schools must <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>stop stealing</strong></span> funds from public school since wealthy families don't need the help. The supermajority touting a budget surplus is even more insulting. Give that to teachers!</p>

<h2>Fully fund public education</h2>

<p>The <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong>working class</strong></span> makes the economy run. Businesses and their owners don't do us any favors by <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong>stealing </strong></span>most of the value we create. We need to <strong>take it back.</strong></p>

<h2>Income equality</h2>

<p>Every human deserves to have a place to call <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>home</strong></span>, to keep their belongings <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)">safe</strong></span>, and to <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong>rest </strong></span>and <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)"><strong style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary)">recover</strong></span>. We choose to make housing unaffordable and unavailable. We can make a different choice.</p>

<h2>Housing is a human right</h2>

<p>Working class issues are hardly heard in the Indiana State House because only bills that Republicans are in favor of ever get a shot. We need more diversity in the legislature to fight for working class Hoosiers.</p>
